Q: What products does Blake's Remanufacturing Services, LLC remanufacture and sell?
A: Camshafts, cam followers and lifters, connecting rods, heads, overhaul kits, fuel Injection parts and, coming soon, crankshafts.

Q: If the intake, exhaust or Injection lobe on a camshaft is wiped out can it be repaired?
A: Yes, this is our specialty. We have had all camshafts tested for hardness and material at a major universities metal laboratories. Depending on the hardness and material we determine what method and what materials will be used to build the lobe up, and remanufacture it back to OEM specifications.

Q: Are Lifters remanufactured to OEM Specifications?
A: Yes, On lifters the crown is remanufactured back into the lifter. People have the misconception that lifters are flat. They are not. Lifters should have a crown or taper in them (different people use different terminology). This allows the lifter to spin / rotate properly on the lobe.

Q: What information do I have to know about my parts to order them?
A: One or more of these items would be helpful but not always necessary:
- Engine make and model,
- Forging / casting number,
- Part number,
- Serial number, (OR# for Caterpillar parts)

Q: What are the advantages of purchasing remanufactured products vs. new?
A: Most engine parts are salvageable and comparatively inexpensive to repair. A remanufactured part often costs less than half of the price of new and you are getting a part that is remanufactured to OEM specifications. It is a win-win deal for both parties.
